I just returned from a deployment in March, and another has unit given me orders to deploy in May. Do I have a legitimate IG complaint?

My problem is career advancement, I've deployed every other year and can't attend the NCOES required due to the deployments. I was in the middle of a transfer to a training unit, which was denied because of the deployment which will be my 4th in 8 years.

SSG SSG (Join to see) there's probably several avenues you should explore before going to the IG. The IG is mostly interested in fraud, waste, and abuse. If the units involved followed Army and DoD directives and applied them without prejudice, then you won't get far with an IG complaint. I recommend you talk with your first sergeant or CSM immediately. If the senior NCOs don't help, then try the officers in your Chain of Command. There are probably Army policies about how often a Reserve Component soldier can be deployed involuntarily. Know the rules before you complain too much.

you are mandated 18 month dwell time. if you are cross leveled you would have to accept orders. Have your ATRRS operator register you into a class, then the unit has to address the issue

The question was altered. It says I returned in March of this year but was involuntarily transferred to a unit deploying May of next year.
