I love the USMC combat cammies. Which do you like more, the digital desert or woodland uniforms?

I am kinda sad though because I am going to join the Marines but the Desert cammies are apparently no longer worn in the USA except certain training enviroments. i was excited to wear them regularly

I personally dont think it is smart to wear the woodlands all year round in hot weather enviroments in places like California or south Carolina during the spring and summer. I think it should be up to the base commander /based on weather temp

PV2 J M I am not sure I like the name cammies. I served from 1968 to 1972, and we wore green utility uniforms stateside. In Vietnam, we wore jungle fatigues.

I'm of the opinion that the different duty uniforms are stupid. The Army, Airforce and Marines should all be wearing the same uniform. If an update to the uniform needs to be made then it would stand to reason that the need exists for all branches. The BDU and DCU was the same for all services until the war on terror. We're all on the same team and the Marines, Army, Air force and Navy spending millions to develop different camouflage patterns is a stupid waste of money and childish.

Desert MARPAT for sure. They are lighter and fit better and the most unique.

I preferred the woodland cammies when I was with the Marines. I know most people like the deserts , but I just think the woodlands look better.
