Ivemgot some practical thoughts I can offer, however, I'm not entirely sure they're gonna be what you want to hear...to answer you, it'd help to know more, your major for your bachelors, were you a STEM major, comp sci (CS), IT, or engineering, physics, math, Chen, or anything similar? If so, would you want to be where you could all the more readily get your masters and possibly a PhD done? I only ask that, as, having been engineering while I was in before my disability, I'd found out quite rapidly that a !asters is absolutely requisite formalp svcs immediately if you want to stay in for the full 20 yes. So, I offer this on the basis of some very hard-learned lessons I'll offer you, ifmyoud want them, go where you can do research, and possibly publish, as well as being at a facility where grad schools are in abundance, honest. I realize you'd probably not thought of that, of you have, I'd be most eager to know, ifmyou were a STEM grad, I'd be most eager to know specific course titles, grades, and your GPA, as well, if you can say, only to help you, honest, I'm gonna suggest some facilities that might not at first glance seem terribly exciting, I get that, however, if you want a purely technical career, what I'm gonna suggest would be, truly, the way to go, honest, OK? If you can, do a detailed bio sketch, reading, hobbies, interests generally..also, if you were engineering, did you do the FE/EIT exam toward a Prof Engr (PE) license? I'm also gonna suggest various groups you should very strongly consider joining, honest, as they'd nemof direct relevance to you in your work day to day, I assure you, please do send more, I'm genuinely interested in hearing more, honest, I hope this is all of at least some real possible use to you, OK?

Ask for this for R&D, this is a natural lead in to flight test engineer later on for USAF, Navy, UK Boscombe Downs Empire Test Pilot School (ETPS), and the French EPMER flight test school, one doesn't have to be flight rated to go, one can go purely as an engineer, there's also NATO Teat Pilots t School (NTPS) in Calif, which is private, but takes active duty students, as well as civil svc and I dustry, of heard, I'm quite sure there'd be a need for Signal Corps R&D, honest...

Sorry, typo, went the way of the dodo, clumsy tablet, I'm afraid, trust me, if you're Signal Corps, engineering or STEm is the way to go, if you want to stay in it, and R&D is he path rarely chosen, I think, at least of what I've seen...if you specifically ask for R&D to be able to publsi,h, do research, and go to grad school, that's gonna show seriousness, and if you want a career with Big Green Machine, that's serious horsepower, I assure you....

If that's true, then congratulations. However, a dream sheet is typically just a dream. The needs of the Army and the priorities of your branch management determine where they send you. Are they saying any station or just CONUS? Are they asking for your top three? For my branch, they told me that they would assign Soldiers where they would serve best, but if there was a tie and one person had that post on their dream sheet, then that might tip the balance. Regardless, even though I didn't put Ft Campbell on my dream sheet, there's no better place I'd rather be for my first duty station.

My grandfather (COL, ret.) gave me great advice on this. When he commissioned it was during the Vietnam war and nobody was getting their duty station of choice, but he got his first pick!

I recommend for the weather:
Fort Shafter/anywhere in HI
MacDill (AFB, they do have signal officers there, no clue how many)

Not sure about OCONUS.

For anyone wondering my grandfather put Vietnam as his #1 pick...

Submit your PKT after you make 1LT and have the proper documentation to support it. If you submit your PKT as a 2LT CAD will assess you as a 2LT and you will have to wait to be promoted on active duty and will lose TIG because of it.Unless you deny that pkt and resubmit one as a 1LT.

I’m at FT Campbell; constant training and lots to learn from. I feel like I’ve been offered a lot more opportunities than a few of my peers that have gone to other posts. Plus, you’ll catch an AASLT qual.

If they give you a choice- select Germany, Hawaii or Alaska. Overseas Tours are the best. You'll also get Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) paid twice a month, even if you live on-post. There are signal units & signal officers assigned in all places.
