See if they can submit your recertification test to the base education office to allow you to take it, or to your educational department at the hospital. The other alternative is to send you TDY state side for you to take the test. They were doing it at Landstuhl when I was stationed there 2014-2017. Try to contact the training department, but if it’s being run by another section, ask OPS and they can figure it out. When MEDCOM first instituted the EMT/EMT Certification in the early 1980's as the actual MOS for medics it did not take into account:
1. Overseas assignments and NREMT requirements for certification
2. MEDAC/MEDCOM homesteaders and medics being assigned to CBT Arm units on back to back PCS moves
3. MEDAC and CBT Arms Commanders not rotating their medical personnel for continuing education of both sides of the 91B/68W MOS.
4. CBT Arm Units training schedule and mission deployments

Don't know if US-A HRC/MEDCOM/MEDAC has fixed any of the early issues but... one can only hope..
On the plus side... review TM 8-230, that, and what ever knowledge our PA imparted, was our guidance from Vietnam era until the 1990's, the competency testing was by your PA and if you screwed up... yeah, reclass...

Yes, I'm whining, but when a medic does 3 back to back CBT Arms assignments and you watch MEDAC personnel reenlist PDA; and when they finally get assigned to a CBT Arms unit as an E-5/E-6 they have no concept of how to interact within the PLT or the unit and many times it's a very long learning curve...
