However the hours are long and you will work crazy hours. 1130-1300 lunches are not a thing and 1700 to get off is really early expect to put in some work. Every time one of those pilots gets in those seats he is signing you a blank check for his life, and he never knows if today is the day you decided to go to the bank. Take your maintenance serious and have pride in the results you push out. No matter if it’s as small as lockwire, or as big as a transmission, just know the little things can send a good man home early. Maintenance will be different from what you know now, but everything you will learn and come to grasp will help you long after military if it’s something you wish to pursue in the civilian world.
