As for having a say as to where you go, unless you can get it in the contract you'll be needs of the Army. Also, you need to be prepared to be told that you may have to be reduced a grade. Not saying it's automatic that you lose a rank, but the possibility is there. Regardless, in the end you need to do what's best for you and fight for what you want. Go talk to a Recruiter and see what is what. You have to evaluate why you left and why you would go back. The answer lays in the middle.
