Our DS said our graduation date is August 21st, is the graduation date set in stone or can it switch around I know my AIT is shortened by a week but a little clarification could help? That is the most recent intel I have on it, however I would be extremely surprised if the Army could keep you in training beyond the projected start date for your senior year of high school. This is one of the few cases where education takes precedence. They sent us home...I drove out to Arizona from Nebraska. So I was five hours from home and they called saying if I wanted to come back and finish (after the government came back on the next day) I could. They were going to do an accelerated course and graduate us a week early even if the government only shut down for a minute again.

I turned around and drove back. Got put in a new platoon with a new SGL. We did do an accelerated schedule. No PT. Class 0730 or 0800 - 1700 every day. We came in on that first Sat for half the day.

The government did shut down again for a couple hours - and we went back to the regular schedule and the original graduation date despite them saying "no matter what" we'd graduate a week early.

The point - the Army will do whatever it wants and you run on its schedule when you're in training or school. No matter your rank. They will be the ones who will be able to tell you what you need to know.

As others have said get used to just going with the flow. For example I went to DCC and when we could fly home and graduation times changed multiple times. So it’s not just enlisted.

Same thing with BOLC and covid. You just gotta ask your questions through student leadership and cadre and be flexible especially now with covid gumming up everything.
