I’m currently in the army, I’ve only been in for 6 months I’m a SPC. Im Airborne infantry. What papers do I need for OCS packet?

I already have my BA degree. No one in my unit will give me info about what I need. I’ve gone to the education center and asked and they didn’t have any idea so I’m completely lost thank you.

Being that you haven't been in for very long it may be difficult for you to get the required letters of recommendation.
But good for you for being proactive and look for what you are interested in.

Apply. Good if you have some college and a few Letters of Recommendation from your chain of command. When I was at Fort Bliss texas in 1969/70 I applied for OCS as an SP/5. I made SSG and got three sets of orders. OCS. White Sands New Mexico and South Korea. My wife says go to Korea. Better than going to OCS and getting killed.

I just submitted my OCS Packet to HRC on the 22nd of July, I do recommend waiting/looking for the most recent MILPER message for your OCS submission/board dates. Link up with your S1 and they should be able to help you out. Recommend getting the medical portion of your packet done first. That takes the longest. I also would consider waiting a year before submitting a packet. I've been at my unit for a little over a year before I applied. This will allow you to develop a stronger relationship with your leadership, which will aid you in getting those LORs.

Your units admin office can provide you the application. That’s what I did back in the late 70’s. You’ll be more competitive if you already have already completed your undergrad degree. There was an interview process at the local level before the application is forwarded to the Dept of the Army. The entire process should be outlined in the application packet.
