No one in my unit will give me info about what I need. I’ve gone to the education center and asked and they didn’t have any idea so I’m completely lost thank you. Good if you have some college and a few Letters of Recommendation from your chain of command. When I was at Fort Bliss texas in 1969/70 I applied for OCS as an SP/5. I made SSG and got three sets of orders. OCS. White Sands New Mexico and South Korea. My wife says go to Korea. Better than going to OCS and getting killed. Link up with your S1 and they should be able to help you out. Recommend getting the medical portion of your packet done first. That takes the longest. I also would consider waiting a year before submitting a packet. I've been at my unit for a little over a year before I applied. This will allow you to develop a stronger relationship with your leadership, which will aid you in getting those LORs. That’s what I did back in the late 70’s. You’ll be more competitive if you already have already completed your undergrad degree. There was an interview process at the local level before the application is forwarded to the Dept of the Army. The entire process should be outlined in the application packet.
