Thanks in advance!I'm direct commission w/ Reserves as a 70B. My AMEDD recruiter told me the contract was for 3 years AGR, then 5 IRR. Is this true?2019-06-04T10:14:28-04:001LT Private RallyPoint Member4695940<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The Commissioning paperwork only says 8 year commitment in the Reserves, but doesn't specify how that time is broken up. If you don’t do at least 3 years active duty, you will spend the entire 8 years as an obligated reservist. If you completed 3 years active then you have the option of serving the remaining time as active reservist or inactive reservist.Response by LCDR Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 4 at 2019 10:17 AM2019-06-04T10:17:48-04:002019-06-04T10:17:48-04:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member4695952<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Review page three of your NGB 62E. If your service time had been partitioned, you will find the specifics on that page. Otherwise, the requirement is typically an eight-year active membership unless an unqualified resignation is submitted and approved.Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 4 at 2019 10:20 AM2019-06-04T10:20:01-04:002019-06-04T10:20:01-04:00LTC Charles T Dalbec5792879<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Every person has a eight year Military Service Obligation MSO. That means as a member of the Selected Reserve SELRES you would be obligated for the terms of your contract.Response by LTC Charles T Dalbec made Apr 19 at 2020 11:20 AM2020-04-19T11:20:03-04:002020-04-19T11:20:03-04:00LTC Charles T Dalbec5792896<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I don’t believe AGR is part of the obligation. Active or Inactive Reserve participation is the requirements. Contact the commands Retention NCO and obtain information to resolve your needs.Response by LTC Charles T Dalbec made Apr 19 at 2020 11:24 AM2020-04-19T11:24:44-04:002020-04-19T11:24:44-04:00LTC Charles T Dalbec6043533<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It would be great if AGR was a part but I’m sure it is not.Response by LTC Charles T Dalbec made Jun 25 at 2020 8:46 PM2020-06-25T20:46:22-04:002020-06-25T20:46:22-04:002019-06-04T10:14:28-04:00
