I couldn’t find helpful information on the web trying to see what it’s like in different branches and I also don’t have connections to ask officers. Looking for advice to help me make a decision! I'm getting ready for OCS. What branches should I pick? 2018-02-21T21:26:58-05:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 3377824 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I wanted armor but in the Missouri National Guard that’s not an option (by the way I do plan on going active when I can after college). You probably know more officers than you think. There is always Rally Point and get involved in your local community. Just when you think you are the only one. 10 of your branch just happen to appear. They&#39;re all good. Do your absolute best at OCS in order to keep your options fully open! Your knowledge of ammunition in all capacities would be invaluable in training and deployments. Thank you for your service. Ordnance or Quartermaster would be the primary two for Ammunition. Also OCS runs order of merit for Active Duty but as a Reservist/NG your branch should already be picked - as it has to fit the unit you are accepted in, unless something changed that I am unaware of. Also Ordnance/Quartermaster/Transportation all combine for Captains Career Course and you become Logistics.
