<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I wanted armor but in the Missouri National Guard that’s not an option (by the way I do plan on going active when I can after college). I couldn’t find helpful information on the web trying to see what it’s like in different branches and I also don’t have connections to ask officers. Looking for advice to help me make a decision!Wed, 21 Feb 2018 21:26:58 -0500I'm getting ready for OCS. What branches should I pick?

You probably know more officers than you think. There is always Rally Point and get involved in your local community. Just when you think you are the only one. 10 of your branch just happen to appear.A1C Ian WilliamsWed, 21 Feb 2018 21:46:19 -05002018-02-21T21:46:19-05:00Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 21 at 2018 11:51 PM

Asking what branch without a little background into your general interest is a little difficult to answer.CPT Private RallyPoint MemberWed, 21 Feb 2018 23:51:25 -05002018-02-21T23:51:25-05:00Response by LTC John Mohor made Feb 22 at 2018 1:15 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Considering you're already an ammunition specialist the Field Artillery Branch give you a full spectrum in the Combat Arms working with Armor, Infantry, Aviation, Communications as well as Logistics. They're all good. Do your absolute best at OCS in order to keep your options fully open!LTC John MohorThu, 22 Feb 2018 01:15:38 -05002018-02-22T01:15:38-05:00Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Feb 22 at 2018 9:37 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Being an ammunition Soecialist now I would recommend Infantry or Artillery. Your knowledge of ammunition in all capacities would be invaluable in training and deployments. Thank you for your service.CSM Darieus ZaGaraThu, 22 Feb 2018 09:37:28 -05002018-02-22T09:37:28-05:00Response by 1LT Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 25 at 2018 10:05 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would say whichever unit you are currently under as a Reservist or NG dictates what branch would be available. Ordnance or Quartermaster would be the primary two for Ammunition. Also OCS runs order of merit for Active Duty but as a Reservist/NG your branch should already be picked - as it has to fit the unit you are accepted in, unless something changed that I am unaware of. Also Ordnance/Quartermaster/Transportation all combine for Captains Career Course and you become Logistics.MAJ Private RallyPoint MemberMon, 05 Mar 2018 12:41:58 -05002018-03-05T12:41:58-05:00Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 5 at 2018 9:29 PM
