Kuwait for sure has decent internet you have to pay for. I would bring a decent laptop, cac card reader, and hard drive with 200+ movies. I was able to get almost 5 college classes while down here since operations are very slow. I watch netflix/movies at night to past the time. I would pack as light as possible.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 8 at 2018 1:16 PM2018-04-08T13:16:18-04:002018-04-08T13:16:18-04:00WO1 Private RallyPoint Member3524525<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Lots of civilian clothes.Response by WO1 Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 8 at 2018 1:53 PM2018-04-08T13:53:00-04:002018-04-08T13:53:00-04:00SGT Eric Davis3524589<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Lol I’m going there too but a laptop computer, headphones, iPod and a game system to keep you entertain. Twin sheets and a pillowcase for your bunk (our supply people never bothered to provide them). Extra soap and razor blades because the PX probably won't have your favorites. Sturdy shower shoes or beachcombers for those long walks to the latrine in the middle of the night (and a couple of good flashlights). They have yard sale pages on Facebook for your location (they are members only group so put a request in now because they may not approve you right away). Soldiers from the unit you are replacing will be selling things and will want cash since they're going back to the states. Bring a computer and hardrive. Civilian clothes.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 9 at 2018 8:51 AM2018-04-09T08:51:41-04:002018-04-09T08:51:41-04:00SGM Bill Frazer3526981<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Minimal electronics, 1-2 sets of civies- maybe kindle book reader, etcResponse by SGM Bill Frazer made Apr 9 at 2018 9:22 AM2018-04-09T09:22:54-04:002018-04-09T09:22:54-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member3527043<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Well that would depend on where you are going, Arifjan is like a garrison environment, decent internet, food is okay, they have a pool, plenty of shops etc so you can buy anything within reason. Camp Virginia is a bit more primitive but they still have just about anything you need just more dirt to go with it.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 9 at 2018 9:46 AM2018-04-09T09:46:10-04:002018-04-09T09:46:10-04:00SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member3534730<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>We have a PX here so you do not need to buy anything from the states. They sell everything, clothes, games, TVs, Bikes, PT Uniforms, Movies. Also join the facebook pages of the camp craigslist. You can get stuff cheap from people who you will be replacing. Also, thereis internet in the barracks. Pay a monthly charge for diffrent speeds. Also, get your cell phone unlocked from your carrier, just take your orders, and when you get here, get a Sim Card for your phone, or you can get a puck. (Mobile Wifi to carry around) and download Voxer, your gonna need it.Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 11 at 2018 4:06 PM2018-04-11T16:06:40-04:002018-04-11T16:06:40-04:00SFC Quinn Chastant3534866<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you are bringing personal electronics, you will want a locking case that is water tight to store them in. the fine dust gets into every thing. Pelican Cases are pricey and heavy but a worth while investment. Also many can be secured with a padlock and if you have a computer locking cable/security kit that is helpful as well.Response by SFC Quinn Chastant made Apr 11 at 2018 4:49 PM2018-04-11T16:49:18-04:002018-04-11T16:49:18-04:00SFC Joseph Weber3534869<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>A Kindle with lots of books loaded up.
