As SGT Bates said, they're unbeatable in comfort. At least as far as I've seen. For a field boot, I recommend  the Rocky S2V. They're tough, durable, and sole grip is awesome. If your deploying I suggest the Oakley 6in Assault Boots. Light weight, comfortable, feel like tennis shoes. Downfall is they wear down quick so you might need to buy another pair half way thru deployment. Now if your in an Infantry unit and your CoC doesnt mind too much what you wear they are great for road marches. IF your leadership isn't a Negative Nancy about wearing those types of boots, both are extremely comfortable. For field wear, I recommend the Rocky S2V. The Bates M-8. I wore mine for about 6 months and the soles under the balls of my feet split. A Soldier of mine also bought the same boot, and I noticed one day that his had split in the same spot. A comfortable boot, very light, but I've never had boots split across the sole like that......<br> SFC Grant Johnson Thu, 24 Apr 2014 00:11:56 -0400 2014-04-24T00:11:56-04:00 Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 25 at 2014 12:50 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-m-looking-for-a-couple-new-pairs-of-combat-boots-any-recommendations?n=110679&urlhash=110679 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Belleville 320 is not a good choice if your feet supinate at all. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 25 Apr 2014 00:50:31 -0400 2014-04-25T00:50:31-04:00 Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 25 at 2014 9:56 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-m-looking-for-a-couple-new-pairs-of-combat-boots-any-recommendations?n=110887&urlhash=110887 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Garmont T8, best boot in the world SSG Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 25 Apr 2014 09:56:20 -0400 2014-04-25T09:56:20-04:00 Response by SGM Matthew Quick made May 9 at 2014 8:15 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-m-looking-for-a-couple-new-pairs-of-combat-boots-any-recommendations?n=122926&urlhash=122926 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Which ever company paid me more. ;) SGM Matthew Quick Fri, 09 May 2014 20:15:20 -0400 2014-05-09T20:15:20-04:00 Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made May 9 at 2014 8:30 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-m-looking-for-a-couple-new-pairs-of-combat-boots-any-recommendations?n=122934&urlhash=122934 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I've worn Nikes, Bates and Rocky's. The Nike are very light and comfortable but towards durability they're not the best; However the Bates and Rocky's are durable but not too comfortable for a ruck march. In my opinion as long you can alternate them the Nike are the best bang for your buck. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 09 May 2014 20:30:37 -0400 2014-05-09T20:30:37-04:00 Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made May 9 at 2014 9:11 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-m-looking-for-a-couple-new-pairs-of-combat-boots-any-recommendations?n=122959&urlhash=122959 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The kind that are comfortable, LOL SSG Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 09 May 2014 21:11:58 -0400 2014-05-09T21:11:58-04:00 Response by Capt Private RallyPoint Member made May 13 at 2014 12:34 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-m-looking-for-a-couple-new-pairs-of-combat-boots-any-recommendations?n=125760&urlhash=125760 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Anyone stationed in the Northern Tier have an opinion on insulated versus non-insulated? I am not an infantryman, or a scout, or a tanker. I say that to preface that I have no business destroying boots like I do, but somehow I do. <br /><br />First deployment I wore the standard issue Bellevilles and Oakleys. Second deployment I wore Blackhawks. Third deployment I wore Nikes. All of those I have destroyed (insides torn apart, holes, soles tearing away from rest of boot). The only ones I have found to hold up for a deployment are Rocky. <br /><br />So yeah, I recommend you go with Rocky.
