How idiotic and intrusive can people get nowadays? This story, I think, certainly crosses the "dumb*ss laws" line. How can this even be enforceable? What is the end result? To ensure that NO ONE can grill at their private residence anymore?

The video, which went viral over the weekend, shows the male resident arguing with the apparent official about a Pinellas County rule that says barbecue smoke is not allowed to cross over property lines.

You mean you don't understand how smoke inconveniences other people that their convenience is more important than anything you do?

I'm surprised I got that out. It's a bunch of crap and the neighbors need to experience a blanket party.

I can only assume that he's not well liked by is neighbors.....or they are Commies!!! I mean who doesn't like the smell of FOOD, especially grilled FOOD!!!!!

A nearby Township has smoke regulations and cite many people who burn their leaves in the Fall. Not allowed campfires or trash burning either, BUT people get around that by having hotdogs on sticks for when the police arrive. Time for campfires are regulated too; but again, out come the hotdogs! LOL

Glad I live in a neighbor where that had never been an issue to entire 47 years I've lived in this house. My Dad's house I grew up in was located 3 miles from Me and He had 35 acres of land around His house located in the same town as Me. Smoke and the great smell of things cooking even smoke from Chimneys of people using their indoor fireplaces makes Me feel right at home. Burning our brush and fallen tree branches in the spring is an activity most My neighbors also do but on brush and wood burning days the Fire department has to clear it and make sure there isn't a strong wind to make it more dangerous and if burning You must have a water hose that can reach the fire area. That's only for fire safety.
