They have a fantastic pet travel service. Also, if you are not, I recommend getting on facebook and digging into the "Wiesbaden yard sale" and Wiesbaden army facebook pages. Those have lots of insight on the goings on, how to do stuff, where to do/get stuff, and purchasing stuff from outgoing Soldiers. Feel free to hit me up with anything you have. I just got back from Wiesbaden/Clay Kasern and helped several soldiers in-process.

http://stationedingermany.com/living-in-germany/pcs-my-dog-to-germany/
https://www.bavariannews.com/how-to-pcs-to-germany-with-pets/

You will have a great time in Wiesbaden. It is in a central location, and it is a beautiful city.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made May 24 at 2018 10:04 AM2018-05-24T10:04:08-04:002018-05-24T10:04:08-04:00CSM Darieus ZaGara3657042

Less advice than it is a great area with a rich history and a wonderful culture. The unit itself is historically very good. Great leadership with awesome Soldiers. The senior NCO Corp has always been phenominal. Loved it there. I'm sure lots has changed in 10 years. They have a professional soccer stadium along with a rich culture and history. Get out and explore downtown. Learn the language. Most people are friendly. If it's still there, go to Your's Sports bar and grill. Great food and atmosphere. Also go to the Brauhouse in Mainz-KasselResponse by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made May 24 at 2018 3:31 PM2018-05-24T15:31:47-04:002018-05-24T15:31:47-04:00PO1 William "Chip" Nagel3657833

SGT Private RallyPoint Member Vacationed There while stationed in London, I'm Jealous. It was an expensive lesson for my wife and I for our Husky at the Frankfurt Intl Airport.

Other than that, travel a lot! 4 day weekends every month! and if you need to board your pet during these travels, look up rex kennels. they speak English and they pick up and drop off your pup and it won't cost an arm a leg. I would love to go back to Wiesbaden.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made May 25 at 2018 9:40 AM2018-05-25T09:40:12-04:002018-05-25T09:40:12-04:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member3677969

Lucky bastardResponse by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 2 at 2018 12:09 AM2018-06-02T00:09:48-04:002018-06-02T00:09:48-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member3686958

Enjoy yourself and get out and travel whenever possible.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 5 at 2018 1:09 PM2018-06-05T13:09:57-04:002018-06-05T13:09:57-04:002018-05-24T08:38:33-04:00
