I'm prior service and want to reenlist. Would having a nautical star tattoo on the top of each hand prevent me from being able to join?

Sounds like a recruiting question, one that a person would ask to a recruiter, about being recruited, by a recruiter, since they are the ones who handle recruiting.

This is posted in tattoos so I'm speculating you have a nautical star tattooed on each......eye lid.

I'm assuming that you're trying to get back into the Coast Guard but for the Army unless those stars are in remembrance of somebody that died I can not run a waiver on it. Since you can not join the Army, I'm assuming the Coast Guard has similar it's not more strict policies regarding tattoos.

Only a recruiter can answer your question. Regs are different from service to service and change all the time. they are the ones with the latest and greatest.
