I know their are usual complications and policies when jumping from one branch to another. Can anyone shed some light on what issues I may encounter? I’m prior service Army and want to enlist to active Air Force. What issues might I encounter? 2020-08-02T21:25:48-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 6169127 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>About to ETS from the Army National Guard and want to join the Air Force (Active Duty). If your MOS doesn’t match to an AFSC you may have to change to a new AFSC and go to a tech school. If it does match up you may be able to get a waiver for the school and be awarded your 3 level. The Air Force has levels in each career field 1, 3, 5, 7 &amp; 9 - beginner, apprentice, journeymen, craftsman and superintendent. Be prepared for a total different mentality and discipline. Good Luck! That should be your first, second and third stop and not RP where almost no one can answer that question due to the complexity of it. To start off with, even at the best of times the Air Force is notorious for not wanting to take in prior service. I am a Marine and going active army. I looked on rally point, up and down for these type of answer but your local air-force recruiter will have your answer or better assist you. Best of luck why dont u go active army?
