In fact my immediate support NCO is prior Navy. There's a few other prior Navy guys in my unit, and I also had a few in Basic as well. Granted they entered Army BCT as NCO's so they were treated differently but still.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 29 at 2016 3:57 AM2016-07-29T03:57:57-04:002016-07-29T03:57:57-04:00CDR Terry Boles1759736<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would think pretty good if you have overcome the RE-3G condition and the AF is willing to request a waiver. Talk to a recruiter the fiscal year starts over in I believe October so I would start the process now because I have been trying to enlist since December.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 29 at 2016 10:32 AM2016-07-29T10:32:30-04:002016-07-29T10:32:30-04:00SGM Private RallyPoint Member1760638<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>An RE code 3G will require a waiver. Best bet is to check with your recruiter. I never knew why it was there. Also, it was written in and not typed in, meaning someone wrote over what was there already. The Air Force is very strict on prior service anyway, but with an RE3, it's an insurmountable issue. If it isn't a RE1, forget the Air Force.Response by SSgt John Carter made Nov 8 at 2017 12:07 PM2017-11-08T12:07:10-05:002017-11-08T12:07:10-05:00SN Madeline Ticer5937059<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Just curious if you can update us on whether you got into any branch or not.
