I'm reading about Det A, SF Berlin and I'm looking for a good book on White Star. Any recommendations?

A little before those guys but check out the Jedburhg teams. They were WWII OSS same area
Hotfoot/White Star was a big turning point for the CIA - as it transformed from an intelligence gathering agency to a covert paramilitary organization. Tile 10 vs title 50 at times. I think you'll find this book interesting.

Review: 'A Great Place to Have a War: America in Laos and the Birth of a Military CIA,' by Joshua...
NONFICTION: The agency's involvement in Southeast Asia set a pattern for covert military action across the globe.

I mentioned the Jedburgh teams for the simple reason the OSS is the forefather of both the CIA and SF. They did some great things.
