yes, the Jedburgh teams are given credit in this book, Special Forces Berlin: Clandestine Cold War Operations of the U.S. Army’s Elite, 1956-1990 as part of the inspiration and model for operations.

They are legendary in SF, they were doing "things" when nobody knew we were doing "things"

I mentioned the Jedburgh teams for the simple reason the OSS is the forefather of both the CIA and SF. They did some great things.

Hotfoot/White Star was a big turning point for the CIA - as it transformed from an intelligence gathering agency to a covert paramilitary organization. Tile 10 vs title 50 at times. I think you'll find this book interesting.
