They will tell you. How much are you really going to need? I would pack enough civvie clothes for 7-14 days and no more. SSG Brian G. As a reclass soldier, you're going to have more freedom than the IET kids. I went to AIT (from basic) at Huachuca in 2004-05. We had phases - start out phase 4. Then after the first month, you could attempt to get 5. You had to pass the PT test and then recite the MI Creed and Soldiers Creed to the DS. If you couldn't, try again. Then came 5+. 5+ was you could do almost anything after class and on weekends. 4-5 you had to be back by bed check but at 5 you could wear civilian cloths off duty. 4 - you had to be in either (then) BDUs or PTs and had ot put in a pass to go off post and be in class B's. It's probably changed even for the IET kids since then.

But we had a few reclass soldiers - when they phased out the Morse code interceptor MOS they made them be 35F. Not sure why...they were in their own barracks and weren't supposed to fraternize with the IET kids after class or on weekends.

I would think the schoolhouse would have sent you information...you should probably call them and ask about a packing list. So, bring whatever civilian clothes you have. My classes didn't really use much of their TA-50 gear except for one week in the end. the only one who can tell you if you will need yours will be your cadre there. Not going to lie, you’ll be spending a lot of your time doing nothing until you class up. Currently MOS-T cannot leave post but other than that you do whatever.
