I'm stuck between choosing Green-to-Gold and Warrant Officer School. Do you have any advice on which I should choose?

Well. What do you want to do with your life. I had to pick between SF or green to gold.

If I could have a do ove I'd probably try for Warrant. You get to stay down at company level longer!

Completely depends on what you want to do. There are ups and downs to both options.

When I was younger, I was given this but of advice
Stay NCO if you want to directly impact and take care of Soldiers
Go Warrant if you want to focus solely on your job as a technician, yes there is leadership there, but only when it comes to improving the Soldiers in their profession.
Go Officer if you want to have a broad impact on a mission.
The officer is the one who declares the mission and the path to proceed to accomplish it.
The warrant ensures the job is done technically correct
The NCO ensures that the Soldiers are trained and for to accomplish the mission in all aspects of their life, and are responsible for ensuring their Soldiers advance in their career.

I'm just curious...did you want the MOS you have now, or would you change to another field? Also, I'm assuming youre bachelors level, or close, what associates, what bachelors, any grad school get? It'd help if you could elaborate somewhat in your international sts, a!bitoons, and/or motivations, as well...if you went WOCS, would you go flight at all? Would you want Amy other svcs at all, also? If so, which? What majors are any assoc, bach, or grad level work in? What specific technical courses have you done. Would you want STEM or cyber? Those were just some thoughts crossing !y mind as I'd read what you asked, I'd ne most eager to hear more, many thanks.

Go officer. Higher pay = better retirement. If you want to fly, then Army aviation warrant.

Everyone has been giving you really good advice but as a Warrant Officer I should tell you that there are no shortcuts to becoming a logistics (92 Series ) Warrant Officer. It takes five to six years of work experience as a NCO for you to be technically qualified. The majority of the "Tech" Warrant Officers were senior SSGs or SFCs. If you do not have to patience for that journey then you should look in to Green to Gold.

The process to become a Warrant Officer is highly selective. I think you will be very proude if you make the decision to join us and are selected.

All of the responses are awesome... however you said you didn't want to stay in your MOS. One of the Prerequisites for most WOC positions is 36 Months as an E-5 in the Mos that feeds that WOC slot. That being said you'd add at least another 3+ years depending on the AIT of the chosen MOS. Couple this with the fact you must have 3 evals. This timeline adds an additional 4 years. Time is precious to me. Ill end with the huge pay gap, because as a 01-E you get credit for up to 6 years TIS toward pay walking you in the door at $85,795.57 at today's rate if you took the year to become an officer. If you did the years to become warrant after reclass (Which I accounted for), you'd be at 83,085.45 these numbers are using the Eustis zip code Married Filing Separate. Crunch the numbers for yourself and see. Keep in mind in that same timeline you could be a Captain or 03-E based off avg progression statistics...Clearing 6 figures and not have to do even more time for the retirement percentage adjustments because of the years it took to get Warrant. This made my decision final on OCS. Hope it helps with your planning.
