Work out hard and get into the best shape of your life. Run a lot, do pull ups and sit ups and build your muscles as much as you can. It also wouldnt hurt to read up on Marine history. There are other standards and qualifications you must meet besides being in shape. Find out now before you work hard and find out out something else will hold you back. and just like the Col said, they can help with getting you into shape and down to weight if that is an issue too. The military in general is geared to receive recruits in the spring and summer, although not absolute. That will be the window where options are open. If that&#39;s the road you want to take, then talk to them now. The physical fitness tests recently changed as of this year, so there&#39;s new and different requirements that you need to pass. Then there&#39;s height and weight issues. You said you&#39;re getting back in shape, well they can help with that. It&#39;s also good to talk to them in case you have any tattoos that need a waiver for.<br /><br />Whatever you do, just go talk to them. It&#39;s literally their job to make sure you are ready to go. You might not be ready right now, but I bet they could get you ready within 6 months.<br /><br />Good luck to you.
