I passed BCT but chaptered out of AOC (Airborne Orientation Course) do i have to do back to Basic since i didn’t make it to AIT?

my last day in the Army was in september 2018, so it’s been a little over a year, but i graduated from BCT, i chaptered out of AOC (rigger course) so i never made it to AIT, i chaptered due to APFT failure. i understand id have to take the APFT and pass before i could leave but would i have to do basic again or would i go to AIT?

I don’t think so. I’m at 68w AIT and we have one guy here who was chapter due UCMJ (he didn’t finished his first AIT), he was able to came back year and half later straight to AIT. I would check with a recruiter.

A recruiter would have the best answer but you better prep for the ACFT while you're at it. Starting 1 October this year that's a requirement to graduate basic, AIT, WOBC, BOLC.

Something does not track here. You went to basic and passed it ok and graduated. Then you went on to AOC. You failed an APFT. Did they not give you a retest as mandated by regulation or did they and you failed both APFT's?

As to the answer to your basic question? No, you would not have to repeat BCT as you passed it.

You can't be a rigger w/o passing AOC, all riggers are required to be jump certified

I got out in 2014 for the same reason, but after six months from your separation date you can slap your paperwork on a recruiters desk and do it over again. Unfortunately for me it took three years to pick up a waiver for the RE3 code (re-entry: uncharacterized due to being in TRADOC) so I had to take an APFT prior to meps and redo BCT. I see no reason why you should have trouble after that point as long as you can pass. Just be attentive to your paperwork because you will be categorized as “prior service” since you have already once been assigned a DODID and “served active time”. I had two separate DODIDs and it became an issue to cut orders for my first unit upon AIT graduation.

How’s it going man! Literally no joke I was on the same exact situation as you! Thank God I just recently got my waiver approved and waiting on the green light from usrec. I’ll be heading to meps soon again to re-enlist so I’ll let you know if I’m re-doing basic or not

You might not be suited for rigging..I used to help Cargo Riggers in the USAFR...BORRING.....BORRING... look for something else.
