I re enlisted into the IRR from the reserves? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-re-enlisted-into-the-irr-from-the-reserves

I re enlisted into the IRR from the reserves effective 15 OCT. My unit says they still have to do an IRR packet even though I re enlisted (New to me because when I was active, once you re enlisted that was it) However, the packet still isn't done and I don't have any orders. They want me to keep drilling until I have orders? So they can keep me drilling for as long as they want until they send up my packet? It is not your unit that is requiring that. Dont shoot the messenger in other words. Get with the Career Counselor that did your contract, do the required counselings and check to see if you need not go. You are technically past your ETS and need to be processed but it should not be that big of a deal. Once your ETS rolls passed, check with your ARCC to see about getting your CURORG flipped but without those assignment orders to the IRR, that mighr not happen. Do the 4651-R now... Submitted in DEC 2017; orders for the IRR out last week of SEP.
To give you a basic idea in the event you are not sure how it works:
1. CO CDR signs off
2. BC signs off
3. Goes to BDE, for the BDE CDR to sign off
4. Goes to your next higher CMD ( in my case a CACOM)
5. Goes to USARC ( NOT HRC)
Keep in mind, expediency is based on two factors:
1. How fast people in your CoC want to help you
2. How much you are willing to pester, bug, call, annoy, EM, show up unannounced and overall become a royal pain in the ass haranguing people up and down the chain to push it FWD.

Bear in mind too that it can sit on someone's desk while " they're on TDY", " I'm on maternity leave for the next 3 months", " I'm in school for the next months and didn't tell you", or any combination of.
In short, it's a royal pain.

If that's your intent, go for it. But, be sure of what you ask for.

Good luck. Your ARCC should be able to assist and so should your leadership. Stay on them but keep drilling until you get your orders. The packet goes directly to your RSD to cut your orders. There should be no waiting. SFC Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 24 Oct 2018 15:57:43 -0400 2018-10-24T15:57:43-04:00 2018-10-09T16:45:20-04:00
