I served for two years from 02 September 1980 until September 1982. Do I qualify for any medical benefits?

Unless there are service connected injuries or disabilities you haven't mentioned.

I’ve had other vets tell me I do but I’m hesitant to think I actually do with such limited service.

Sounds like you need to go to the VA and have a discussion with them. With the limited information you provided it does seem that you fall within the VA eligibility requirements. I would recommend digging up your DD214 and go to your local VA.

If you earned an honorable discharge, you may. Check with VA to be sure.

You are if medical problem is service connnected. Go on line and check with the VA.
