I spent 6 honorable years in the National Guard with 6 collective months on AD and no deployment. Is it possible to get veteran status?

You qualify for a VA loan and some post 9/11 educational benefits, that's about it. Since 1980, you have to have 24 months of non ADT active duty, or having been deployed to a war zone and served until you were released to qualify for medical or other benefits.
