I think the new pt test is great because the gender bias is gone. Am I a bad leader for thinking this?

You're not a bad leader for thinking this; however, when men generally score higher in the physical fitness tests, we'll see that men and women are not created equal - physically.

In regards to eliminating gender and age biases yes the new test is better. In regards to the amount of time, equipment, training, and dollars spent on "research", it's a complete waste.
I cant wait to see the amount of back injuries skyrocket, and as usual they will blame the NCOs for it rather than the common sense of - most Soldiers dont know how to deadlift, and most NCOs cant teach or evaluate it properly.

Heres a better idea for a PT test, you road march to the O course in a set time and distance, do the o course, drop ruck on FMTV/change shoes, and run back to the start point. 2 attempts per obstacle and overall time is graded.
Wow that was hard. And I dont even have a PhD.

I would not say your a bad leader but I think we need to wait until all of the evidence is in before we judge what is better or worse. I see a lot more injuries coming soon. JMTC

As females keep pushing for 'equality', I think this is a great thing. Does it make it harder for someone smaller, yes, but it pretty much levels the filed for everyone.
