I transitioned from Active Duty to National Guard. I’ve done 3 drills and I haven’t been paid. What do I need to do? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-transitioned-from-active-duty-to-national-guard-i-ve-done-3-drills-and-i-haven-t-been-paid-what-do-i-need-to-do <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I also have a bonus coming in and I haven’t received that either. I was told the issue is that I’m not on my unit’s books yet so is there anything I can to do to square away the situation or can anyone help me? If you are not, check your iPerms to see if your contract has been uploaded and talk to the retention NCO/recruiter that assisted you. Sometimes there is a button that one side or the other needs to push. First step is let your FLL and COC aware and go to the admin/S1 where they will do a pay inquiry and bring you onto their books. Usually it takes time for dfas to create a reserve account, sometimes its seamless, sometimes it takes the pay inquiry to get the ball rolling. Either way, one piece of advice i have for you is to be persistent. Reserve component (usar and NG) communication isnt always as good as active duty side, you are your best advocate and need to ensure that you follow up weekly to make sure your issue is being addressed. That being said, make time to meet them halfway, waiting until drill is not the best time to have your issues addressed. As an AGR it is hard for me to focus on your issue alone and research regs when i have 30 other Soldiers coming to me with their issues as well. As a rule of thumb, the week is always the best time to engage your full time staff as you will have our undivided attention. Pay is always our priority, afterall if youre not getting paid, what is your incentive to put in work? Anyhow i hope the guard takes good care of you, SGT.
