You will know if you have unaccompanied orders if your family members are not listed on your orders. I served 2 years in Korea (accompanied) and then had a HAAP assignment to Fort Bragg. Your HAAP assignment is also not guaranteed. It is similar to the wish list you had in AIT. HRC can only assign as dependent restricted tour of 12 months. If you get command sponsored, your tour in Korea becomes a 24 month tour with dependents and your return assignment will be at the needs of the Army. <br />Keep in mind that only Korea can approve a command sponsorship tour, not HRC. Contact your reassignments branch and let them know you would like to go on an accompanied tour. They would let you know the necessary paperwork that had to be completed. To get a jumpstart yo can schedule your family for an EFMP Screening for an overseas assignment. The form you’ll need to take to that appointment is a DA Form 5888. The provider will complete and sign the form at the time of the Screening appointment. Once signed, take the phone back to reassignments and they will send the form to housing at the location you will be assigned to for approval. This usually take 5-7 working days to get a decision. If approved reassignments will amend your orders to reflect your family members information. Take the new orders to the passport office to apply for no-cost passports for your family... I hope this helps... Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 19 at 2019 9:06 PM 2019-02-19T21:06:53-05:00 2019-02-19T21:06:53-05:00 2019-02-19T15:34:00-05:00
