The school can sound long but once you make it to phase 2 it will feel more like a routine than a military school. It goes by quick.Response by WO1 Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 28 at 2015 6:13 PM2015-07-28T18:13:17-04:002015-07-28T18:13:17-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member1294963<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm 2 months and 20 days away from graduation in the 68C program (not that I'm counting...). Did my phase 1 at Ft Sam Houston, where everyone does it, and my phase 2 at JBLM in Washington. I wouldn't consider it "grueling", especially since you have prior military service. A lot of the people coming into the training who didn't succeed are straight out of high school and didn't have the discipline required to focus on the material that needs to be learned. As long as you pay attention in class and study a little on your off time, you will succeed. Every phase 2 site operates differently, with variances in schedules. Regardless, you will spend about half your time in the classroom "didactic" and half in clinical working in a hospital. I can't speak yet first hand for the opportunities and career advancement moving forward with the MOS, but we are all told that there is lots of opportunity due to the shortage of 68Cs and the flexibility of the MOS. You graduate the course with an LPN/LVN license, which you can carry into the civilian world for the rest of your life as long as you keep it current.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 11 at 2016 11:49 AM2016-02-11T11:49:51-05:002016-02-11T11:49:51-05:00CSM John Drake2672530<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I hope you consider attending this school. Check the course requirements and be prepared to meet them if you've not already done so. This program is a stepping stone, for some simple advancement. Others have gone on to more academic professions; RN, M.D., OT, PT and PA's. I highly recommend you thinking about accepting the challenges. <br /> Good luck in whatever path you may chose.Response by CSM John Drake made Jun 23 at 2017 2:31 AM2017-06-23T02:31:33-04:002017-06-23T02:31:33-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member2878422<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Why is there such a shortage? I also see the promotion points are consistently in the CLI zone for E5 and E6. Do people simply move on?<br /><br />Also, how easy is it to get a BSN once you have the LPN? I am finishing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, which I assume has very similar early requirements, then I just take whatever's left in my off time, A&P, etc. Does a BSN have clinical requirements beyond what you get as an LPN?Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 30 at 2017 4:43 AM2017-08-30T04:43:02-04:002017-08-30T04:43:02-04:00PFC Private RallyPoint Member3342601<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am considering changing my MOS to 68c what in particular does anyone suggest to study before I would enter the schoolResponse by PFC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 10 at 2018 11:07 PM2018-02-10T23:07:12-05:002018-02-10T23:07:12-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member3556044<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Is there anyone here who reclass for 68cResponse by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 18 at 2018 3:32 PM2018-04-18T15:32:57-04:002018-04-18T15:32:57-04:002015-05-27T09:49:33-04:00
