I’ve been thinking about being a medic, human interrogator, avionics mechanic, and military police. Open to lots more. I just don’t wanna hate what I do. How hard is it to become a pilot? You have to be commissioned or appointed as a warrant officer to fly.

The Army has 200+ MOS’s so it really relates to your ASVAB line scores that decide what you are eligible for and what you are interested in. Both are required to have a good fit. I could have been an officer with my score (ended up as an MP) but chose the enlisted for the camaraderie. I should hecho gone Recon being #1 in my series in PT, but regrettably chose MP. The world is yours. You have choices. Make the decision based on your heart, not the easy road as I did. Seek challenge. Conquer them and if you fail, you have experience on your resume. In choosing an occupation field there are several things to consider;
Are you looking to learn a skill to carry on in life after service?
Do you just want to go have a really cool adventure and then hit the workforce?
Do you want to do 20+ years and retire?
Take the ASVAB. Use those scores to guide you in your decision making.
Talk to all branches recruiters. Do not commit to anything until you are ready.
Good luck. You also have the option of lateral moving a few years down the road if there is something you feel more passionate about. I started out as a MachineGunner and ended up in IT. You need to weigh your interests, options and also keeping an eye on what you want to be when you eventually get out. Being in a door kicker role is nice but eventually we all get out and need a day job.
