I want to Re-Enlist to be a pilot in the Army National Guard. What is the training process, and how long would it be?

I have 11 years TIS. 5 Active, 6 in the Reserves. I ETS'd as a Sergeant E5. Would I be paid as an E5 in WOCS? Eligible for any BAH? Most of the WOCS info I could find on Google seems to be out of date.
I'm finishing off a probationary period in my civilian job (I'm a Firefighter) so I'm at least a couple of months away from being able to commit, I want to wait to talk to a Recruiter until a little closer to then.

Waiting is bringing you uncertainty. Why wait, speak to a recruiter. There are many more requirements to get into WOC. Letters of recommendation, college, pass certain tests, asvab high enough et.

All candidates get at least E5 pay. If you come as E1-E5, higher ranks continue to get their higher pay. I don't remember if you are eligible for BAH while in WOCS but in flight school you obviously will be as you'd be an officer.

Also if you actually want to do it, don't wait. Start getting the ball rolling. The longer you wait, the more excuses you'll find to not do it. Check the requirements, the TIS limit fluctuates but you can get waiver.

Are you in the National Guard now? (I ask because your profile says USAR) I'm not sure how it work switching from USAR to NG, but I'm pretty sure each state controls their own WO slots. I would recommend checking out the Warrant Officer Recruiting website https://recruiting.army.mil/ISO/AWOR/ ... that is the most current up-to-date information on the whole process.

If you're interested, I would recommend starting as soon as you can. I'm not sure on the NG/USAR side, but on the AD side it normally takes about 6 months from selection until the start of WOCS, so more than likely by the time you are supposed to report you will be done with your probationary period. WOCS and Flight School are about 18-24 months total, depending on the air frame.
