I was reading a little about USAA, but am currently with Wells Fargo, whom I actually rather like. Does anyone suggest a change and why ?

You don't have to "change." You can do both.
Set up a small allotment to USAA and use their Banking, Insurance, etc. Find out if you like them. The nice part of USAA is that they have worldwide service.

I have enough trouble understanding the ins and outs of my present account. Having 2 will not be an option, but thanx for the input.

SA Jim Arnold - You just set up a Saving Account Allotment for the amount of your Insurance Payment +$50. Then you set up your insurance payment to come out of that and ignore it. After a year you end up with $600-1200 bucks in savings (depending on whether you do bi-monthly or monthly). Don't overthink it.

I've been a USAA customer since 1996 and they are awesome, most importantly they really do work with you and have many tools and programs to help you save and invest your money properly. I say work with you as when I got off of active service I fell into some financial debt, that are willing to work with you, they understand what Veterans go through after their service ends and have programs setup in order to help you maintain your credit and not default.

Thank you very much, dear sir. This makes two very positive reviews and I am definitely leaning that way. If I ever get back to work, this will be a heavily considered option.

USAA really is a first class bank. They work hard to take care of us and have never steered me wrong. They are quick and blameless to fix the few mistakes they make, they have top notch customer service, and are really just a good company. And no I'm not getting paid to say this haha it would be nice tho
