Now, you play a wait game for their decision. Be prepared to have further evals and stuff for documentation Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 21 at 2022 10:35 PM 2022-03-21T22:35:22-04:00 2022-03-21T22:35:22-04:00 SSgt Christophe Murphy 7584498

You will go through a series of evaluations and eventually it will lead to your package being submitted to the Med Board. You will be evaluated for what put you on the MEB but you will also be evaluated for every injury you received while serving. It’s not a super fast process so just stay positive and keep your head up. Once you receive your findings they will let you know if you are fit for duty or not and will let you know if you are being retired or spectated if not fit for duty. You will go through a lot of classes to prep you but know you can challenge the findings if you disagree and you can appeal.

I went through it and can answer questions as best I can if you need help Response by SSgt Christophe Murphy made Mar 21 at 2022 10:52 PM 2022-03-21T22:52:27-04:00 2022-03-21T22:52:27-04:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 7584613

This is a question that's best answered by the hour and a half long MEB brief that you will get from your PEBLO. What you need to know now is that you'll almost certainly be separated so start your tap and planning now Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 22 at 2022 2:05 AM 2022-03-22T02:05:43-04:00 2022-03-22T02:05:43-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 7585656

You will get what is known as your initial brief from your PEBLO. After that, a legal brief from the VA, then a telephonic meeting with a VA representative that will go through your medical records, then you will be scheduled for VA appointments based on the conditions claimed. After your appointments, your results will be sent back to the MED physician to review and they will make the determination if your conditions meet or do not meet the medical retention standards per AR 40-501. The MEB physician will write a NARSUM and either forward your case to the PEB or return to duty if the condition meets retention or medical reclass standards. After the PEB, it will go to the DRAS for ratings adjudication and severance proposals, then back to the PEB to confer with the DRAS, then you will get a NLT date to be out of the Army. It will be a 90 day window and you choose what date you want to be out of the Army. (Im going through this right now.) SFC Private RallyPoint Member MSG Private RallyPoint Member Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 22 at 2022 5:02 PM 2022-03-22T17:02:53-04:00 2022-03-22T17:02:53-04:00 2022-03-21T22:18:00-04:00
