I was told I have to have 18 months time in grade to register for DLC 2. Can anyone confirm or deny that?

SGT (Join to see) - Okay, did you ask your AGR to submit a request for DLC2 enrollment?
There are two people in your state who can enroll you for DLC, and they aren't going to do that for you until they get a request to do so.
Typically it is a spreadsheet emailed to your G3 Schools section, or there is a link on your G3 Schools SharePoint to create a request.

SGT (Join to see) - I hope your AGR staff was just confused.
If your unit, BN, BDE or higher has imposed a policy of 18 months TIG to enroll in DLC2, that policy would conflict with, (violate) AR 600-8-19.
In the Guard, you are eligible for consideration for the E6 list as long as you have 18 months TIG and DLC2 complete.
Which means you would want to have DLC2 completed by the time you get to 18 months in grade.
Ideally, you would want ALC complete by then, if there was a seat available.
