I was told it was difficult to transfer from active duty Navy to Air Force Reserves. Is this true? Ambivalence is not an option 2nd Find a really good recruiter. 3rd Be firm, adamant but always respectful with your chain of command about your wish to transfer. Otherwise, it takes a 368 which is a conditional release form. I have assisted other components before and that was the hardest step. Best wishes. The problem is your unit/branch has to agree to the conditional release. Talk to an Air Force Reserve recruiter and see if they can help facilitate the transfer. Also another option is looking at the Air Guard. I transferred from Naval Reserve to Air National Guard.
