I will have 90 college credits in 2 months. When should I start contacting officer recruiters in other branches?

I know I need a conditional release, but when will the officer recruiters work with me? I should graduate in a year if that helps. Also, I am looking at Navy and Air Force.

Depends on the recruiter but coming from someone who got into navy OCS and needed a conditional release....a recruiter would be stupid to not be willing to work with you asap. Just waiting for that one piece of paper to make its way up and down the chain of command will take majority of your time and effort.That being said, I'd wait until you're maybe a semester from graduation. I don't believe they can actually submit your packet until you have a degree.

You'll need your degree in hand before you can actually process.

As for when they'll work with you, it...depends on the Recruiter. Some have other work to do and won't care until you're completely ready; others will work with you well before you're eligible to line up letters of reference, etc so that as soon as you -are- eligible, you can start officially.

If it's something you know you're going for, there's no harm in contacting one and seeing if they'll work with you, guide you through the process, give you tips, etc. Just don't be surprised if you're not a priority.
