I will start FA53 school in a couple of months. After completion what job titles are the best to pursue on the civilian side?

Simply passing the 53 course does not make you eligible for any particular civilian jobs. You can change that by making your certifications and hands-on skills a priority while maintaining your leadership skills. Focus on CISSP, CCNA, and PMP. Those certs should help you get noticed as a civilian but it's up to you to sell yourself to get the job. Look for IT or IT Security Manager/Supervisor, IT Project Manager, IT Security Analyst or Specialist. After the course, continue your education (Syracuse has great opportunities for grad school). Good luck!

Also, as a civilian, everything revolves around money so learn some basic accounting/finance.

Sir, thanks for the response. I understand it takes 5 years to get a true CISSP cert. Does the 53A school teach you enough to take the test and get marked as an associate? Also do you learn enough to get the CCNA certification?

I'm not sure if they've changed the curriculum but they taught 4 semesters of the CCNA program which is enough to help you pass although I would buy a book and take additional study time beyond what they teach in the class. Also, use the Army Skillsoft e-learning material, it's free! Knock out all the CCNA and CISSP courses on skillport before you go to the 53 course. They do a good boot camp (2 weeks) for the CISSP. You definitely want to cram CISSP questions for a few months before you take the test. Start now. Shon Harris books were the best in my opinion. They also required us to sit for the CISSP exam. Not sure if they'll do that to you or not. I've heard some classes do the CISM instead.
