If a soldier is demoted and RCP has started, but they get promoted back to their previous rank, would that stop the RCP from happening? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-a-soldier-is-demoted-and-rcp-has-started-but-they-get-promoted-back-to-their-previous-rank-would-that-stop-the-rcp-from-happening <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Just wondering about this Wed, 09 Nov 2016 16:03:10 -0500 If a soldier is demoted and RCP has started, but they get promoted back to their previous rank, would that stop the RCP from happening? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-a-soldier-is-demoted-and-rcp-has-started-but-they-get-promoted-back-to-their-previous-rank-would-that-stop-the-rcp-from-happening <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Just wondering about this SPC Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 09 Nov 2016 16:03:10 -0500 2016-11-09T16:03:10-05:00 Response by CPT Mark Gonzalez made Nov 9 at 2016 4:19 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-a-soldier-is-demoted-and-rcp-has-started-but-they-get-promoted-back-to-their-previous-rank-would-that-stop-the-rcp-from-happening?n=2055815&urlhash=2055815 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You have to be in favorable status to be promoted so the first question will be is the Soldier flagged under the punishment phase of the ucmj or for separation? If flagged they are not going to be promoted and therefore cannot hope to beat the rcp. <br />Leaders will attempt to frame things in a positive light to ensure favorable conduct, but Soldiers have to be self aware enough about their situation and prepare for the most likely outcome.
