If he does reclass into the 31B MOS, he should contact his branch manager who can either build him an assignment (which will be uncommon for regular assignments) or place him in an available open assignment. At the end of the day it is the needs of the Army. Tell him to get with his S1 to view current 31B assignments, but that doesn&#39;t guarantee him that assignment, it just allow him to know what is out there. I would try though. He will attend training TDY enroute. He will receive his duty assignment 60-90 days prior to his class start date. <br />He can&#39;t call his branch manager because he will no longer be that MOS. He can&#39;t call the branch manager for the new MOS because he is not that MOS yet. Reclass branch handles the reassignment and they will place him at the location he is needed most.
