If a Soldier is stationed OCONUS and going through mental illness and receiving an MEB, will the Soldier be transferred back in the states?

I want to re-ask/ reword the question. If a Soldier is stationed (Permanent Party) OCONUS and they are going through mental illness, that will more than likely led to them receiving a MEB.. Since there are no WTUs overseas (Korea) will the Soldier be transferred to one back in the states? If so will it be to a WTC closer to their home or records?

This is very similar to another today. As long as the appropriate care and support is available it is unlikely that the Soldier would PCS, as this would require them to be uprooted twice prior to MEB.

I am no expert on Army ways (nor Navy for that matter), but the advice I would give is find the number for the unit chaplain and talk to them about the situation. The Chaplain Corps have seen and heard everything. They will give you up to date info and procedures, and if necessary will be an advocate. Best of luck.
