<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>When I was a 1LT, I was in the MP station after PT one morning, still in PTs, and some SGM comes in. PVT Snuffy at the desk calls the room to at ease. I just kept going about my business. SGM loses it and jumps my shit, &quot;what&#39;s your problem soldier?&quot;. I just smiled and said, &quot;My problem, SGM, is that officers don&#39;t stand at ease for NCOs&quot;. He apologized and then proceeded to smoke the ever living shit out of PVT Snuffy. That was in 2005 and I think that poor guy is still doing pushups.

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The senior ranking person present.<br />If there was a senior person in the room already, you wouldn&#39;t acknowledge either one.<br /><br />For example, I walk into the team room and it is a bunch of joes in there, they should call at ease. If their team chief (a Captain) is there I just expect them to note my presence and ensure that I don&#39;t need something of them (as I am often conferring orders from the CO) and go about their business.
