SR (Join to see) - Oh I didn't realize you were in DEP. Then yeah, unless you've taken the oath (which you haven't, I believe) you can do anything up to and including bailing entirely.

i think i actually did take my oath at MEPS. i still want to e in the navy i just want to do reserves. my recruiter kinda made me say yes to being active so i want to start over and do it right like i wanted to do in the first place.

SR (Join to see) - Start the process over again if that's what it takes. Don't get pressured into doing something you don't want to do. It probably won't be good for you OR the Navy.

Absolutely. I was prior AF, and eventually went back in as a reservist on flying status, and there were prior service members from all branches in my unit, except maybe the USCG, but there just aren't as many of them.

Depending on your RE code and discharge you should have no problem switching to Army Reserve or National Guard after ETS. You would most likely keep the same rank but would have to go to Army Basic and MOS training (AIT). Sometimes prior service Navy gets to go to a short course called Minuteman training in lieu of Basic. Best of luck!
