If I completed SGTs course and CPLs course while in the Marine Corps, will I have to attend BLC and ALC in the Army as a Sgt to pick up?

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I knew a staff sergeant who came to the Army Reserve as a specialist e-4 but he had his basic non commissioned officer leadership course and he made E5 in a few months. The Army does not discriminate against your Marine schools, it's the Marines who discriminate against the army. I knew a platoon Sergeant, E7 who was a master gunner in armor in the California guard. He was working at China Lake as a civilian and was going to get transferred to the East Coast. He was offered an E-1 or E2 position in the Marine Corps Reserve do the exact same job on Abrams tanks. So be grateful the Army is not like the USMC.LTC Private RallyPoint MemberWed, 25 Jul 2018 14:55:08 -04002018-07-25T14:55:08-04:00Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 25 at 2018 3:18 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You should receive credit provided you have all of the documentation to validate. On the other hand it is a great opportunity to become acclimated with the Army. There will be NCOs from literally every unit on the base exposing you to the full spectrum of Army culture. If I were your 1SG or CSM I would encourage you to attend. Thank you for your service.CSM Darieus ZaGaraWed, 25 Jul 2018 15:22:40 -04002018-07-25T15:22:40-04:00Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 25 at 2018 8:22 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm in the process of convincing the people at Ft Carson that this is a thing, what you want is AR 600-8-19 paragraph 7-24. Take that and your course graduation certificates to the S1 and they should put them on your ERB, if not, go to BDE S1, then G1 etc... until it's done.CW2 Private RallyPoint MemberWed, 25 Jul 2018 20:22:49 -04002018-07-25T20:22:49-04:00Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 26 at 2018 1:30 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I believe you should still attend and see if you may have missed any area from the Corps to the Army. Theymay show you a thing or two and you may impress them with some Marine things as well. You will only come out better than you came in. Not only that , it will impress your future commander and show them that you can handle any situation.Sgt Harold MartinezWed, 08 Aug 2018 16:40:45 -04002018-08-08T16:40:45-04:00Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 5 at 2020 1:47 PM
