SPC Lucas Lobren 5996366 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hopefully someone can square me away. I’m applying to WOCS and was wondering if my current TIS will transfer to new pay grade. So if I current have 5 years enlisted and obtain WO1 will I get payed as a WO1 with 5 years experience, or will it start over as WO1 0 years. Hopefully that’s not too confusing. If I currently have 5 years enlisted, and obtain WO1, will I get payed as a WO1 with 5 years of experience? 2020-06-11T21:47:02-04:00 SPC Lucas Lobren 5996366 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hopefully someone can square me away. Think of it this way, when you got promoted to SPC, did your TIS change? No, only your TIG changes upon promotion. Once you pass WOCS, you will be pinned WO1, then you will start getting paid as a WO1 with over 4 years TIS. On the day that you are appointed at WOCS, you will be discharged from the Army as Enlisted and swear in as a newly minted WO1 with no ETS date. Instead, you will have a Mandatory Retirement Date, which is the last day of the month in which you turn 60. I have known Warrants that gotten two waivers and retired at 62, but this is uncommon. Incidentally, once you become a WOC you will get paid as an E-5 or your current grade, whichever is higher.
