You see a 368 is usually signed by a General because they're the ones who have separation authority for reserve component soldiers. Active Duty Soldiers the Separation authority for most soldiers is the Brigade Commander. For the Army when they say Unit Commander the unit is usually the Battalion level. The guidelines that Space Force put out only said Commanders Release is as per each Branch's policy. The one for the Army is contained in AR 614-120.

I reenlisted in Jan 2018 -- I now have just under 4 years left, will the Army let me transfer, or would the Marines accept me? If so, what's needed to get the process started?Any useful info is welcome. Thanks.#MericaFTW
