One guy recently discussed bringing his F150 Ford pick up truck there. Others here mentioned The narrow roads and the inability to get parts. Not sure if you can go buy a car from somebody who is also leaving the area. I'm sure there are all kinds of deals for people PCSing. The military should store your car somewhere in the USA. I am sure you will get some feedback soon.

I am currently stationed in Germany, fourth tour in Europe all together. Bringing your vehicle to Germany is extremely simple. However, you are only authorized to ship one vehicle at government expense. Also, you will require a letter from the bank or dealer that owns the tittle, allowing you to ship the car. Once in country, your vehicle will be inspected by the Germany authorities, you have 30 days to correct all deficiencies. The process is similar in England, thanks to the SOFA, you can drive your American Specs car in these countries legally. But, you must get your orders first, then, get your family command sponsorship. At this point, your vehicle should like the 12th item to be worried about.

The US is pulling 15k troops out of Germany. Some are going stateside, some are going elsewhere in Europe like Poland or Belgium.
