I’ve been considering going 131A and am wondering if the Active Duty side is worth it as a WO1. I’ve never had an issue with PT never lower than a 270 and I’m an SME as a 13J. There are no AGR slots in my state for 131As from WO1-CW2, I understand there are title 10 opportunities as well. Just looking for advice about the RA side of things If I go for 131A, is it worthwhile to pursue the RA component as a W01? 2019-09-18T10:03:44-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 5035809 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’ve been ARNG component for the last 7 years, I’m about to go on my second deployment, this time as a SSG as an OPS NCO. As the battalion or higher’s SME on your specialty, you will be brought to the table for conversations well above the heads of most senior enlisted and junior officers. A lot is expected of a non-flight W1, and the result for those who perform is an exceptionally rewarding career doing what you love and little of what we tend to see as the minutiae of military service. I say go for it and never look back! Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 18 at 2019 10:49 PM 2019-09-18T22:49:50-04:00 2019-09-18T22:49:50-04:00 2019-09-18T10:03:44-04:00
