Finance will do a DD1506 statement of service during in-processing. This calculates your BASD and PEBD. Generally, you would take the date that you are back in, subtract that by the amount of days you've already served and that will give you your new BASD.<br /><br />Source: just went through itResponse by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 16 at 2017 2:06 PM2017-08-16T14:06:24-04:002017-08-16T14:06:24-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member2838406<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My question first are we talking Active or Reserve duty, but yes previous time counts toward retirement. In the Reserves the UA should be able to calculate that and give you the time awarded and such.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 16 at 2017 2:07 PM2017-08-16T14:07:30-04:002017-08-16T14:07:30-04:00LTC Kevin B.2838959<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It counted for me. I was enlisted from 1984-1987, and I was an officer from 1992-2011. Everything counted. I don't know the references for you though.<br /><br />Also, your retirement plan should be based off when you initially entered the military.Response by LTC Kevin B. made Aug 16 at 2017 4:59 PM2017-08-16T16:59:19-04:002017-08-16T16:59:19-04:00Cpl Robertto Salcedo2839183<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes it does count im going back in as a prior service and they're counting my four years I did in the Marine CorpsResponse by Cpl Robertto Salcedo made Aug 16 at 2017 5:50 PM2017-08-16T17:50:04-04:002017-08-16T17:50:04-04:00SGT Paul Mackay2846854<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>yes it doesResponse by SGT Paul Mackay made Aug 18 at 2017 6:07 PM2017-08-18T18:07:16-04:002017-08-18T18:07:16-04:00Capt Private RallyPoint Member2848947<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I served on active duty for 14 years 8 months and 1 day. <br />I had a 3 year break then entered the Army Reserves. <br />Every day of that counted toward my retirement from the Army Reserves.Response by Capt Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 19 at 2017 1:32 PM2017-08-19T13:32:01-04:002017-08-19T13:32:01-04:002017-08-16T13:59:06-04:00
