Unless you had taken a physical at another MEPS, or enlisted into the DEP of another branch, then it should not take but a day. If you had enlisted into another branch's DEP, then MEPCOM cannot do a SPF change until that service provides DEP discharge orders. They have up until your actual ship date to do that. For example a person backs out months ago, but the service holds the DEP discharge until ship date, which prevents the person from processing for another service.
